Round Robin - Norwegian Wood

This weeks' challenge is by Kiva, who authors the blog, "Eclectic Granny." Here is what Kiva says about this challenge...I'm into a Beatles mood this week. Norwegian Wood - take a photo of anything wooden. Merriam Webster defines the word "wooden" as: 1. made or consisting of wood. 2. lacking ease or flexibility, awkwardly stiff (e.g., wooden performer, a wooden speech). A picture of John Wooden or anyone named Wooden qualifies.

I could have shown photos of my home, I have wood everywhere, floors, furniture, decor, etc. My daughters use to despair - "Oh, no, not more wood".

But I decided to show my wooden birdhouses that I picked up on our travels, and my woodpile. Looks like I have enough for one more winter.

Now visit all the Robins.

Beautiful birdhouses! Very nice photos of them, too.

It's the same at our house -- wood all over the place. We're actually considering moving to the country to accommodate my hubby's woodworking hobby.

Now you're in my favorite subject... birds.

I have two birdhouses - and I didn't even think about posting them.

Your next mission, if you choose to accept it, is to show us all the birds. ha ha ha ha. (can you hear the theme song to mission impossible playing in the background?)

Hi Jan :)

Oh my, they are lovely. I know a lady who collects birdhouses, she must have 50 or 60 in her tree! They are so beautiful in a yard, a true finishing touch!

Your birdhouses are beautiful. I love the pictures and that woodpile makes me think of cozy nights by the fire. Great job!

My in-laws have lots of birdhouses on the farm.

Thanks for stopping my mine :)

You've got some interesting bird houses there. It's funny because I just suggested in another blog that they build bird houses with some extra wood they have!

I don't know which one I like best :0) The "triplex" is unique, but I'm tending toward the house with its own perch as my favorite. What a creative entry!

Those are the best kind of wood! Do you get a lot of baby birds?
