Do you have a favorite author? Chances are if you hear him/her give a talk, or have a chance to sit and talk, you'll discover they went to the library at a young age and went frequently. Last weekend I heard many famous authors and they all mentioned going to the library at a young age. The other thing they all mentioned was being read to, at a young age.
Off the top of my head, these authors mentioned the library this weekend, Dennis Lehane, Neil Gaiman, Micheal Connelly, Dean Koontz, Sherman Alexie, Judy Bloom & Eoin Colfer.
This video is a bit long at over 5 minutes, but it illustrates a wonderful point.

I went to the library all the time. I always loved books! I even got my lifetime reading certificate, which you cn only get if you get a certificate for the first 8 grades. :)
I would love to write, but haven't made the leap so instead I have a blog. :)
Ha! I'm doing something right at least.
