we've always called them sunbeams -- and it was only recently that I realized the light needs to be shadowed to appear like that.

I guess it's just like our lives -- You can't see the spectacular without a little darkness and trouble.

Wow … this is one spectacular capture! I love the ‘rays’ and the birds with these amazing clouds and sunrise!!! Simply beautiful. I can’t believe I missed it last week, but am glad I spotted it today. Thanks for including your entire post in the ‘reader’ or I would have missed it.
