Breaking Dawn

Yesterday, I worked from 9-5. I got to B&N about 8:30, and this is the sight that greeted me.

Customers had been lining up since before 6 AM, by the time we opened, the line (from the first photo), had stretched to the back of the building.

Inside we were all ready. Lines and arrows to control the line-up at midnight, were in place. Children followed the arrows, all day long, it was too cute.

My job was to give out red wrist bands to those who had pre-ordered the book, Breaking Dawn, the 4th and final installment of the Twilight series, and white wrist bands to those that were gambling there'd be enough books to go around. It was a lot of fun, I'd done the same job for the Harry Potter releases.

I was happy to leave at 5, and I have no idea how it went last night, but be have an excellent young manager, and I'm sure it went off without a hitch.

I should get a job there. Do you get employee discounts? My husband would love that.

If I ever decided that caring for children is not what I want to do anymore...working in a bookstore in number one on the list of jobs for me also. The smell of a book store sends me into shivers. I just can't get enough of them... Speaking of books...what is you take on The Shack?

Also thank you for the cookbooks. I was so surprised to get two. Thank you so much. I have already gone thru one and made a menu for the next few weeks. I am so excited...I hope my family will be also. Thanks again. Take care.

We had a party at the B&N here from 8-12. Complete with costume contests, trivia contests, face painting, and tons more. It was kinda boring though, so my sister and I left early and grabbed something to eat, kid free. There were a few fun things. My sis blogged about it at abunchofburts.blogspot.com. I too would love to have your job.

You're the second blogger who has mentioned this book in the past five minutes, but I've never heard of this series. Must go investigate...
