For once, Autumn arrived right on time. Normally Summer is the dominate season in our valley. Summer usually last from June to mid-October, with temperatures over 100 degrees, a majority of the time. This year has been very mild, less than 20 days over 100, and most barely over 90. I only had to turn on the air conditioner, when we were expecting guest. It has been wonderful.
Now, fall has arrived with temps in the low 80's. That's not autumn weather, you say; and I say, yes it is. At least, that's what we look forward to. We live in a wine grape growing valley, and hot summers, cooled by coastal fogs are required for the grapes to do well, and do well, they do! But it was nice not to swelter a full five months in a row this year.

That's a beautiful shot of the leaf. It almost looks like you caught it in mid air.
