Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday is the brain-child of Mary at Work of the Poet go visit all the Ruby people there.

The first photo is of a magnolia seed pod.

The second, about 10 days later, is the red seeds, after the pod opens.

Beautiful! You still have plenty of nice days ahead don't you! :)

My son got the newest Eragon book (can't think of the name) and he read it in like a week! And it was the longest one so far. :) He was restarting Eragon when I encouraged him to check out Twilight. May make a reader of him yet. :)

Wow... what an awesome plant... don't think I've ever seen one. That second photo in particular is gorgeous.

How pretty! I love magnolias but the leaves do get messy at times.

we have two magnolias that bloom here in early spring - but I don't think they make lovely seed pods like that.

Maybe I need to take a closer look. beautiful.

Ha, it's the first time that I see a magnolia seed, too! It looks very beautiful!
I will post pictures of magnolias growing in Austria next spring and you will see the difference... They are much smaller! And I have never seen seeds.
Have a nice week and thanks for visiting :)

I don't think I've ever seen magnolia seeds before. What a glorious shade of red they are.

I'm going to march outside right now and look at my neighbor's magnolia tree. I always take picture of its blooms, but do not notice the rest. I can see the tree from my window right now but can't see seed pods. I'm so intrigued... must go check it out!
