Recently, I wrote about planting a new sunflower garden. The plants are over 4 feet tall, now and yesterday the first flowers bloomed. Two blooms on the first day!
There are still plenty of buds, and since the weather has been so mild, 80's and 90's, I may have sunflowers for a couple of more months.

Very pretty, I like how they are peeking thru the bars. It's snowing here today, no flowers for us.
WE love sunflowers around here. When we lived in WI we actually lived on sunflower lane. We had a little chipmunk "chippy" that owuld help up plant sunflower seeds all over the yard. We would buy lots of varieties and put them out onthe patio. Chippy would come and find them and then plant them in various places in the yard. It was always interesting to see where he thought they would look nice. If I can find the pictures I'll email them to you. I am already dearning of seed planting for next year. 27 degrees here today but sunny!
Color me green (with envy). Beautiful flowers. We had a cold snap and am wishing the weather was in the 80's and 90's.

Love it...I can't also explain the joy I feel every time I see a flower bloom in my garden...so I know how much you're enjoying them!
What a beautiful flower. I love looking at flowers especially when we have 2 feet of snow on the ground. Sunflowers are one of my favorites.
