(1) Please share to us how the NAME of your BLOG was made? I can't wait to hear interesting funny stories!
(2) Please share to us (in words or photo, though a combination of both will be a bonus!) your favorite/ most common dish!
She also says "SO easy right? ;)" Well, we'll see.
The names of my blogs - naming my blogs was easy, I'd already been using the names as websites, so when I transferred to Blogger, I just kept the same names:

Best Recipe's from Jan's Kitchen
Love's Books and Tea
Loves Books and Tea was my first website, and is the only one without part of my name in it. I had a hard time coming up with a name, I played with it for a while before settling on Loves Books and Tea. Yes, I love books, I don't drink coffee, but I love tea; so it worked for me. I don't think this qualifies as funny or interesting; sorry Mariposa.
Hmm, now the hard part, my favorite/most common dish. I chose my favorite snacks.
When I take a "treat" to work, I think the fav is:
JP's Peanut Candy Bar
- 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/3 cup melted butter
1 egg
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips, (or a large Hershey's chocolate bar, broken)
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups Reese’s Peanut Butter chips
2 cups salted peanuts
1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix together the cake mix, 1/3-cup butter and the egg.
- Press into the bottom of one 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, pour chocolate chips evenly over top of cake.
- Return to oven for 2 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread to cover, allow to cool.
- In a saucepan, over medium heat, cook corn syrup, 1/4-C. butter, vanilla and peanut butter chips until melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cereal and peanuts.
- Spoon mixture evenly over top of cake and spread to cover. Cool before serving. Cut into small pieces, it's very rich.
This is the second most requested snack, at work:
COOKIES–AND–CREAM CAKE
Cake:
- 1 White cake mix
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 egg whites
- 14 Oreo Cookies, crushed
Frosting:
- 1 can Vanilla Frosting - 16 oz
- 6 Oreo Cookies, crushed
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 – inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil and egg whites until smooth; gently stir in crushed cookies. Pour batter into pan.
Bake 30 - 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Frost with vanilla frosting; sprinkle with the remaining crushed cookies.
These are the most popular of my snack recipes.

It's very difficult to think about dieting with all these cake recipes being shown!
Any dessert that starts with cake mix is good in my book! I admire your having multiple blogs. I've thought about it but I am so consumed with what I do right now...Jennifer
Those recipes are definite diet busters, but look like they are worth a try!
I like anything with cookies and cream!! Oreos go fast at my house because we all like them!!
I didn't realize you had so many sites. They must keep you really busy! Now you've made me want dessert!
Yum. I adore peanut butter anything, and that sounds amazing.
That sounds so yummy!!
I have a ritual and sometimes it works. I start the morning with coffee - if nothing else a sip. Once at work, i delve into a soda of some sort. But if all else fails, I do indulge in several cups of tea for the rest of the day - various makes. Of late, I have been drinking white tea, which is herbal, but caffenated - very good. And when you throw in books, it makes me yearn for retirement and those things I really wish I had more time to do. NLM
