Round Robin Challenge: I Made That

This is our challenge from Jennifer Robin of Robin's Woods. This is what she wants:

"I Made That - Something you made, be it food, craft, child, a mess, anything (besides the picture itself!)"

We've all got something we've made! Show and tell time. What have you made? Let's see it, share it and photograph it!

My most recent passion has been making necklaces. I work two ways. I either get an idea, then find the components to make it happen; or I find a component I like and decide how to incorparate it into something I'll love. I don't sell my necklaces, I wear them or give them as gifts. So here's a peek at a small part of my inventory.

Another item I made, over 44 years ago, was my wedding gown. I've been sewing since I was 8, and it was logical that I make the dress for my wedding. Later when my daughters were teenagers, I made all their prom and formal dresses, but when it came time for their weddings, they didn't want to wear mine, or have me make theirs. I was surprised, but happy. Their weddings were wonderful.

Now visit all the Robins, and see what they've made.

WOW! You are quite good at jewelry making and sewing! That first necklace is gorgeous; I love the colors! What are the pink things made of? Beautiful! My birthday's coming up, hint, hint ;-)

Hi Jan :)

You look so beautiful in your wedding gown, it is simply stunning! I can't imagine why your daughters wouldn't want you to make their gowns, just looking at the one you made for your wedding takes my breath away! :) I love looking at wedding gowns, it's kind of a hobby for the romantic in me I guess. LOL.

As for the jewelry... well... once again you have me stunned. each piece is so feminine and delicate, I think you did an outstanding job! Just lovely. :) Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us today, it was so pleasant to see your photos. :) Have a good weekend.

You really have an eye for what makes a gorgeous necklace. I can't imagine making my own wedding gown. I can sew on buttons and mend, but to sew that lovely fabric into such a fabulous dress takes real talent!

Jan you are soooo talented! I would be proud to wear any of those! They're all beautiful!

I didn't remember that you made your wedding gown if you had told us that. I made my first prom dress. :) And I made someone else's wedding dress. ;) I used to sew for some ladies for extra cash. :)

The necklaces are lovely. And I am not believing that you made that wedding dress. How awesome! It is beautiful.

Very nice indeed, and well-photographed. The second one is my favorite in some ways, but the fifth one is really pretty and intriguing. What are those pinkish-orange teardrop-shaped stones?

You're jewelry is gorgeous! I wish I had the talent for that. Your wedding dress was lovely, too. The extent of my sewing is making curtains - one line, straight across and that's about it!
