Today's Flowers

Last Sunday, I took a mental-health day. I needed some time alone, and I drove to San Diego for a look around. My main destination was Balboa Park, but first I visited the wonderful Hillcrest neighborhood. I spotted this tree on Front Street. I have no idea what type of tree it is, but I think it's beautiful.

It is planted on the parkway, so if you live in the house on the corner, you can sit in theses chairs and have a wonderful view of the tree. If you know what type of tree this is, let me know.

I love that first image! The red against that beautiful blue sky just pops.
I wish I could help you with the name. It is a gorgeous tree.

I have a friend via blogs in France and she recently posted a tree with red flowers. I just [ presumed it was roses. Yours doesn't look like it except in color. I don't know what it is except GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! I enlarged it and got a real treat!

Come see my flower.
