Hijacked

This is the normal wallpaper on my desktop. I love this photo, Ozarks Man, Steelville, Missouri, 2001. I uploaded it years ago from National Geographic's Photo of the Day site. I really couldn't tell you why I love this guy, but I do.

Imagine my shock when I booted up my desktop this morning and discovered this:

Now, Mr. Dogg and I have some things in common. We're both from Long Beach, and we both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Home of Scholars and Champions. But, so did a whole gaggle of other people.

Here are some of our famous alums:

Poly has long been distinguished in both academics and athletics. The PACE magnet program and the CIC magnet program boast more total University of California admissions than any other high school in California. In 2005, Sports Illustrated Magazine named Polytechnic the "Sports School of the Century", which applauds Polytechnic's badminton, baseball, basketball, football, softball, and other sports programs. Harvard University’s recognition of Poly as the Most Successful High School in California in the number of graduates. Poly administers 704 Advanced Placement tests and enjoys an overall pass rate of 81%. Polytechnic has also received numerous prizes for its music program, including multiple (6) Grammy Awards. Long Beach Poly has also sent more players to the NFL than any other high school in the country.

None of the above have ever hijacked my desktop, and I sincerely hope this never happens again. Thank you.

I think I would really be wondering if my background changed like that! Wow! That's a lot of people who have done stuff at your school! My ex was from Cali and he went to school with Debbie Harry/Blondie. It was cool seeing her in his high school yearbook. :)
